Quebec City
These are pictures from Quebec City. Quebec City is the only fortified city north of Mexico City in North America. Quebec is also the provincial capital of Quebec, so it has a parliament also.
The Parlement du Quebec (the English word parliament comes from the French Parlement, which means 'talking' or 'speaking'):
The Montmorency Falls are higher than Niagara Falls! They are 11 kilometers north-east of Quebec City.
The Chateau Frotenac was a rich man's estate at one time. This picture is taken from La Citadelle, which is an active military base built to defend Quebec City from the British back in the 1700s.
Another picture of the Chateau Frotenac, this time from the street.
