I have been converting my website (link) to plain HTML from the HTML that Microsoft Word had generated. The HTML Word made was not only really poor, but also inefficient. Also, Word doesn't allow you to place remotely-linked images in an HTML file, meaning that to place any image in a Word-generated HTML file, they have to be hosted on my server (Geocities). This is a time consuming process, and one that has to be completely done by hand.:-(
