iPod Flash

I had heard this rumor before too, on various web sites, but this is the first time that they give actual specs and some numbers for the device. The 200 dollar price point is interesting, since then the iPod Flash would be 200, mini would be 250 and 20 GB iPod would be 300. Tough choice on the customers part;)

I expect this device to kick all the other Flash based MP3 players out of the scene, because after its release there will be something for everyone who is looking for an MP3 player. But I tell you with confidence that I love my iPod mini:).

Interesting article. Since I like protable electronics, the article was pretty interesting for me. I like Portable electronics a lot, but as the article mentions a couple times the major problem is battery life for me. Second major problem is compatibility (the idea that every manufacturer uses a different battery and hence a different charger), but that is a different topic.

I was reading on OLED displays too, and the fact that they improve battery life greatly. The new Sony handheld, VZ90 or something, has this display.

And I like the name of the article: Guilty as Charged.

Snow!

It snowed today, a lot:(. Though I didn't have to walk home through the snow, it was bad anyway. It means I'll have to shovel soon:(.

Sunday Nights

I love Sunday nights at my house. Thats because usually on Sundays, we eat meals at around sunset. That way, at late at night (~10:30-11:00) everyone is attempting to get something into their stomaches:) Today, there was orange juice, baked cookies, Cheerios cereal, and even kababs for the night snack!!!

In News:
The Nintendo DS is finally out! It came out today, and as a special offer from Futureshop, it is only 179.99. As imagined, it is already sold out, at least on the website it is. 179.99 is a really awesome price point, since after conversion, it brings the American price very close to the canadian price. As of this morning, the DS was available in stores near my house, but I doubt that is the case now. It came out with 5 games that were also available in Futureshop, which included PGA, NFL 2005, Urbz, Spider Man and Feel the Magic. I am not interested though, as I just bought a GBA SP last weekend, and even then I knew of the DS. Anyway, I had no plans of buying a 180 dollar protable gaming system now; I am saving up money for a car soon.:)

Abid

Some new work in the kitchen got done over the weekend. The kitchen was completely revamped, with the island in the middle lost completely.

Winter is beginning

Winter is beginning:(
It snowed 2 days ago for the first time. Though it was only a few particles of snow, the temperatures are falling below zero degrees celcius. Cars have frost on them in the morning; walking home I need 3 jackets. And lastly I just saw the first Christmas commercial of the season.

Oh well. It was a good summer we had here. Really hot and nice.

Lastly, Fries and noodles for dinner. I have been having too much fries!!!

FireFox version 1

Finally, the wait is over!!!

The version 1.0 of the highly acclaimed Firefox web browser is out for the Mac, Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems!

This is the main browser I use, mainly because this browser was the only free one when I got fed up with internet explorer a couple months back and was looking for a new browser. It was going to be either Opera or Firefox, and I chose Firefox because Opera wasn't free:).

It has nice features, such as less security holes, tabbed browsing, popup blocking, and a fast page rendering time.

I recommend everyone try this browser out! It is free, a small download, and it will import all your settings from Internet Explorer. So go and download it!

A new TV stand for the upstairs TV.

It has some DVDs, some Xbox games, the router and modem, the DVD player and of course, the TV:)

Fries

Had fries for dinner.

It was a movie night tonight, I watched The Grudge.

Been quite busy for a while. School, work everything...
Did two overnights on the weekend (29 and 30 October). Great combo of ppl on that overnight;)Me, two managers from Walmart, this other kid, then this other Christian kid and then two people on DT.
